Costa Maya

Quintana Roo is the only state in Mexico that has a window to the Caribbean. The Costa Maya occupies the bottom third of Quintana Roo's coastline and it is next in line to follow the growth plans started by Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
The focal point of the Costa Maya is the cruiseship dock in Mahahual, the 2nd busiest port in all of the Caribbean.
The cruiseship dock is visible from the Mahahual beachfront. Passengers disembark between 6-8am and reboard between 5-6pm. By day, this area becomes alive with excursion activities, water sports, and shopping tourists.

Treat yourself to a massage on the beach. Enjoy fresh fish, lobster tacos and ceviche for lunch. At night, the setting is serene and tranquil.
The Costa Maya is also a world class destination for scuba diving, underwater cave exploration, and the Banco Chinchorro located 18 miles offshore where you can find 20 scattered shipwrecks dating back to the 15th Century.
